Can you imagine waking up and finding out everything on your website has been swiped? Well, it happened to me. Nightmare! I spent the whole day working with my host providers trying to figure out what went wrong and how to recover my blog. We tried restoring all the backed up content but that didn’t work. Eventually, I noticed a database error and was advised to reset it. Oh my goodness, can’t even explain the feeling I felt when I saw that I got everything back on my website; blog and shop. Phew!
It’s been a few months since I’ve been socially active, for all of you who have been getting in touch and leaving me sweet messages, thank you! I may not reply to each and every one of you, but I honestly read every single message/comment, and just want you all to know that I appreciate it all. Sometimes a break to get yourself together is needed. Have you ever switched off all your notifications? It is one of the best feelings ever.
So, where are we? 2017! Wow!
I usually make new years resolutions like:
- lose weight
- drink more water
- buy less makeup
- no junk food
- blah blah blah
These resolutions only last a few months, weeks even and then I’m back to square one. This year I’m not making any of these new year resolutions but that doesn’t mean that I won’t be improving my lifestyle. I will work on myself for myself, taking each day as it comes, without having the idea of it being a new years resolution and having the unnecessary pressure.
During 2016, I faced many hurdles, some of which are still around, this year I will continue to work hard, jump over them and work my way up to the finish line. I will be bringing faith, patience and my close supportive group of family and friends into 2017.
